How it was made
- Lead actress Adèle Haenel performed her own swimming scenes without a body double.
- To secure informed consent from her three lead actresses and their parents for the film's intimate scenes, Sciamma discussed the full scenario individually with each girl in casting, including a scene in which one character deflowers another, while submitting a toned-down version of the script to satisfy regulatory requirements.
