FilmSkool — a free film school
How to Write a Short Film
Twenty-six episodes, most of them under ten minutes, taking a writer from a blank page to a script somebody could shoot — and taught for the short form throughout rather than borrowed from feature screenwriting. It is the only complete short-film writing course on this shelf, and the reason it is here is that a short is not a small feature: the episode on the Hero’s Journey exists mainly to show how little of it fits. Closes with a roundtable of working writers disagreeing about nearly all of it.
