How it was made
- The film's opening scene, in which Zuckerberg is with his girlfriend, took 99 takes to complete.
- Armie Hammer played both Winklevoss twins with the help of body double Josh Pence; Hammer's face was digitally grafted onto Pence's during post-production for scenes requiring both characters on screen together.
- Fincher sent Hammer and Pence to what the actors called twin boot camp for ten months to study the Winklevoss brothers.
- The Henley Royal Regatta rowing scene was filmed on location in England using a miniature faking process, rather than in Los Angeles as originally planned.
- The film was shot on the Red One digital cinema camera, and rowing extras were drawn from actual Harvard, Northeastern, Boston University and club rowers, none of whom ultimately appear in the final Henley race footage.
