How it was made

Scorsese filmed the Rolling Stones at the Beacon Theatre over two nights, but all of the performance footage used in the finished film comes from the second show, on November 1, 2006.
The audio was recorded and mixed by Bob Clearmountain from the mobile recording rig known as the Silver Truck, operated with David Hewitt.
Mick Jagger's throat problems forced the Stones to postpone a scheduled Atlantic City concert and move the October 31 Beacon Theatre show to November 1 so he could recover.
Jagger omits the line 'I shouted out, who killed the Kennedys?' from 'Sympathy for the Devil' in the film, likely because of Bill Clinton's presence in the audience.
The two Beacon Theatre shows were added to the tour schedule specifically for the film shoot and used a set list different from the tour's other dates.
